Operation Rainbow

Operation Rainbow
Symbion Hospital Services is proud to support charitable medical organisations around Australia for local and overseas projects. In our last newsletter we told you about our involvement with The Christian Blind Mission. For this newsletter we would like to share with you our WA branchs involvement in Operation Rainbow.

Operation Rainbow organises, funds, and oversees volunteer surgical teams that provide free facial and orthopaedic reconstructive surgery to children in medically under served countries around the world.

This year the group travelled to Tanzania where they operated on 57 patients and performed 94 procedures over a period of 9 days in a remote hospital on the shores of Lake Victoria. With the assistance of Hospira, Symbion Hospital Services were able to provide the project with all their pharmaceutical requirements thus ensuring the best level of treatment for their patients.
